Philippines @ the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai
Posted April 27, 2010The Philippines will make an all-out effort
for a fabulous display at the 2010 World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. From 01 May to 31 October 2010, about 70 million
potential tourists and investors from 200 nations are expected to take
part in this grand international gathering.
Showcasing the country's history and
cultural essence to the world, the Philippine Pavilion will be
approximately 2,000 square meters. According to
the Department of Tourism, the Philippine presentation will have the
theme "displaying cities," highlighting the interaction between
humanistic urban development and mankind as well as cities and
environment through animation technology. With the concept or arts and
achievement/ responsibility, it will show how the Filipinos incorporate
urban construction with design, planning, management and
sustainability and blend music and performance into the design and
planning of specific cities.
The
Center for International Expositions and Missions (CITEM) is preparing a
special zone at the upcoming Shanghai Expo in October 2010, and is
